Denver will be toasty to begin the week with temperatures once again in the 90s and record highs possible Tuesday before moisture moves into the area around Wednesday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will hit 93 degrees today. Smoke will move in, with a plume first reaching the state’s northern areas before coming down to the metro area. Temperatures will drop to 61 degrees overnight.
Fire danger is critical over high mountain valleys towards the north. Dry air and winds are making for rough conditions.
Tuesday will near the daily record high of 98 degrees. NWS forecasts Denver to touch 96 degrees under smoky skies. The low will be 63 degrees.
Wednesday will start sunny with a high of 93 degrees, but moisture will move in during the evening. There’s a 50% chance of showers that night, lasting through Thursday. The rain should cool off the Mile High City.
☔️Monsoonal moisture arrives late Wednesday through Thursday. Look for a change to more numerous showers and storms with locally heavy rainfall, and an increased risk of flash flooding especially in recent burn areas.
