Denver’s weather is about to take another quick turn. This time, a wintery feel.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will touch 70 degrees on Monday under sunny skies. Winds are expected to be over 15 mph as temperatures bottom out at 40 degrees overnight with increasing clouds.

Tuesday will bring a 40% chance of showers, mainly after noon and into the evening. The partly sunny day should top out at 63 degrees. It will be windy as a system moves in, with gusts over 20 mph. Tuesday night will be cold, dropping to 38 degrees.

Wednesday should be sunny, with a high of 62 degrees and a low of 34 degrees.

Thursday is forecasted to be a wet one, with a 50% chance of precipitation. Expect rain in the afternoon as temperatures reach 55 degrees, possibly bringing snow in the evening as the low will drop below freezing.

If a few flakes don’t fall, Denver should at least see its first freeze Thursday or Friday evening.
