No part of the Front Range has had such a dramatic makeover during the past decade as the W. 144th Avenue corridor west of I-25—where cities of Westminster and Broomfield come together at whatap doubtless the best commuter location in the North Metro area—easy access to downtown, DIA, or Boulder County. Thatap lured very attractive luxury areas like Huntington Trails and McKay Shores, to a setting that has pretty lakeside parks and trails, good views of the mountains, and lots of new shopping and dining.
Most home sites here were gone years ago—but Wall Custom Homes, winner of NAHB’s Gold Award for the very best custom home in the entire nation two years ago, has worked with developer/landowner Jim Carr to put together five smaller parcels north of W. 144th into an enclave of 33 nice-sized custom sites on the Westminster side of the line. They’re a five-minute walk from Starbucks and Snooze, a ten-minute walk from Macy’s and from McKay Lake and Park.
Metro Brokers agent Dick Kelley can arrange show you those sites in Carr Estates today—and give you an idea of what you could create there.
Wall Custom Homes has three sites available for true custom homes; and numbers of others planned for ‘custom-spec’ homes with a plan already in mind, but where you could get involved early on and drive the design process.
Either way, it’s hard to find a more accomplished builder than Winston Wall, winner of a dozen MAME and BAR Awards for his work in premium areas like Backcountry, Lowry, Estancia, and Vista Ridge. With 28 years of custom building, he learned the trade from his dad, legendary builder Bill Wall, creator of many of the nicest neighborhoods in Arapahoe County, now retired.
“We see this as a showcase for a wide array of complementary custom architecture, including contemporary, farmhouse, Craftsman, and Tuscan styles,” Wall said, showing off his recent work by a variety of top-ranked architects.
“If you have your own idea on a 2,700-foot ranch design and want to do something really special, you should be looking at these sites,” he adds. Prices for finished ranch would range now from $1.2 million, Wall says; but the attractive location is already drawing some buyers looking at more expensive custom concepts.
Kelley can show you to array of sites; and arrange for you to meet Winston Wall, explore some plans, and orient on the custom-build process, using Wall’s Design Concierge Karen Hoskinson and her lineup of premium kitchen, lighting, and flooring showrooms. Finished homes could deliver by end of 2022.
You’ll see how close this is to E-470/Northwest Parkway for quick airport commutes or west into Boulder and Interlocken; to the medical campuses along 144th and along Highway 7; and to new outlets and factory stores along I-25.
