
Conditions on roads across the Front Range began to deteriorate late Tuesday night, and by the end of the day on Wednesday, some parts of the area saw over a foot of snow. Wet roads, cold temperatures and icy spots are making for a challenging commute for Colorado motorists Thursday.
Temperatures on Thursday should remain below freezing, while many institutions remain closed. Traffic around the metro area was moving slow Thursday morning as the roads remain impacted by the weather.
Due to a crash just after 7 a.m. Interstate 76 westbound was closed between 96th Avenue and 88th Avenue near Commerce City for about a half hour.
Lanes were closed because of a crash on I-76 eastbound between I-25.
