Tacos are popular items on the menu at Dos Santos on Feb. 13 in Castle Rock. They are from left to right: Dos Taco Supreme with crunchy taco shell, seasoned beef, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar and guacamole; Porky Lechon with Yucatan pork shoulder, guacamole, pickled onion, poblano sauce and cilantro; and Chicken Tinga with chicken thigh, chipotle, guacamole, onion, red pepper sauce, cortina, and cilantro.

Getting your player ready...

The Super Bowl has ended and the countdown to March Madness has begun.

That means it’s food bracket time, baby. And we’re kicking off the festivities with this announcement of our 2022 bracket contenders: Denver’s best tacos.

Since 2017, we’ve matched Denver burritos and pizzas head-to-head. Now we’re taking on a category of food that has taken over the city (and suburbs), where the competition will be fierce, undoubtedly.

We know you have opinions on the taco front, so write to us using the form below, and we’ll consider all of your suggestions when compiling our Denver-area Sweet 16 in the coming weeks.

So get ready to eat, vote and battle, because the madness is just getting started. (P.S. Feel free to include food trucks, carts and stands among your favorite locally owned Denver taquerias!)
