Brennan Rigsby is going to be an Oregon Duck.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard from De Beque announced Wednesday he was committing to the program’s 2022 recruiting class after spending this season with Northwest Florida State College.
“To me the most important thing has always been to play where I fit with the coaches and feel I can contribute to the goal of winning,” he tweeted. “I’m blessed to have found that fit in a place I’ve wanted to play since I was just a kid running around town in my Ducks gear.”

This season he’s averaging 11.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 25 games (including seven starts) for the NWF Warriors. He also received offers from Buffalo, Mercer, Missouri, New Mexico State, Oklahoma and Radford, .
Rigsby starred at De Beque High School during his freshman and sophomore seasons, averaging 22.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He led the Dragons to an undefeated season en route to a Class 1A state title in 2019.
He transferred to Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, for his final two prep seasons. During his junior year, he broke out a dunk against Layton Christian Academy that went viral. After stealing a pass, Rigsby threw down an Eastbay dunk — a between-the-legs jam made famous in the ’90s by former NBA player Isaiah Rider.
