Sunny and mild weather is expected Saturday and Sunday in the Denver area before a winter blast, with more snow, arrives late on Monday.

Skies over Denver will be sunny to mostly sunny this weekend, with Saturday’s high temperature topping out around 56 degrees and Sunday’s high at about 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The overnight low temperature Saturday in Denver will be around 29 degrees.

On Monday, Presidents Day, there’s a 30% chance of snow in Denver after 11 a.m., the weather service said, with a high temperature near 42 degrees under partly sunny skies.

Wintry weather arrives in the metro area Monday night, with an 80% chance of precipitation and a frigid overnight low temperature of about 4 degrees, according to the weather service.

On Tuesday in Denver there’s a 50% chance of snow and the high temperature will be around 15 degrees under cloudy skies. Wednesday will be just as cold, and cloudy, with another chance of snow. The high temperature differential between Sunday and Tuesday in Denver will be about a 50 degree swing.
