Last week, Denver broke cold records that were over 100-years-old. This week, Denver could break a few records for warmth, including another that is more than a century old. The hot start to the week should last through Friday as forecasters predict temperatures into the 70s to begin March.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will get even warmer Tuesday after an above-average start to the week. Temperatures should reach 68 degrees under sunny skies with a low 33 degrees. The record high for Tuesday was set in 2008 at 74 degrees.
Records have a better chance of being set Wednesday and Thursday. Meteorologists expect Wednesday to have a high of 72 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The record high was set in 2009, at 74 degrees. Temperatures will drop into the mid-30s overnight.
Thursday could also rival record highs. This one was set in 1921 at 76 degrees, with forecasters saying Thursday could be 73 degrees under partly sunny skies.
Friday should be warm, but the weather is expected to change late in the day, with snow possibly moving into the area and impacting the metro area over the weekend.
