Denver was hit with an arctic blast two weeks ago, warm temperatures last week, and now will go through a week of on-and-off snow. The weather pattern that began this weekend with multiple rounds of snow working through Colorado should continue through the week.
Snow showers this afternoon will mainly be to the southwest of Denver where amounts will mostly be between 1-3". However, some of the snow showers could be intense over the southern foothills with up to 5” possible. The snow graphic on the right shows the "high end" totals.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver has a 30% chance of snow until sunset on Monday but little to no accumulation is expected. The already wet roads may be in rougher shape during the evening commute. Today will hit a high of just 33 degrees, and nighttime temperatures will fall to 15 degrees.
Snow is in the forecast for higher elevation areas south of Interstate 70, with a possibility of five inches in some localized areas. Poor travel conditions are expected for this part of the state, and the southwest part of the metro could get hit with a snow shower rolling off the mountains.
Tuesday will warm to 43 degrees under the sun, but winds could howl to around 15 mph. A late-night snow shower is possible, with temperatures in the 20s.
The chance of snow increases throughout Wednesday as an arctic airmass reaches Denver. High temperatures will get just above freezing with over 20 mph wind gusts. There’s a 90% chance of snow Wednesday night, and temperatures will fall into the single digits.
NWS warns that temperatures could fall to below zero degrees Wednesday and Thursday nights. They expect the midweek front to impact travel.
