A suspect in an armed robbery of an armored truck in Greenwood Village was arrested last week in New Mexico.
Justin White was arrested in connection to an Oct. 30, 2019, robbery of a Brink’s truck, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Colorado.
The frightening, lightning-quick robbery happened about 2:30 p.m. in a parking lot at the Bank of Colorado, 5201 S. Yosemite St., according to the FBI. A startled guard was ordered to the ground as a robber held a gun to her head while the truck was ransacked. Two of the robbers were armed with semi-automatic handguns, and the other brandished an AK-47 variant. They fled in an SUV with a stolen license plate.
This year a federal grand jury in Denver issued an indictment charging four suspects, Jamarius Jones, David Taylor, Jimmy Garrison and White, the U.S. attorney’s office said Saturday in a news release.
All of the defendants have been arrested. Taylor and Garrison are detained, and trial dates have been set. On Feb. 18, Jones pleaded guilty to one count of robbery affecting commerce, the release said. Jones is in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced May 27.
