On the mound: Right-hander Antonio Senzatela, making his first spring start, pitched very well in a Triple-A game against Oakland. Senzatela struck out five, allowed two hits and threw 55 pitches in 2 2/3 innings. … Right-hander Zach Neal, a Rockies minor leaguer who was Miami’s first-round pick in 2010, got hammered by the Dodgers, giving up two runs on five hits in two innings.
At the plate: The Rockies tied the game in the ninth on a two-run homer by minor league first baseman D.J. Peterson, followed by a solo homer by shortstop prospect Ezequiel Tovar. The 20-year-old is batting .615 (8-for-13) with one double, two home runs and four RBIs. … Second baseman Brendan Rodgers hit 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
Worth noting: New left fielder Kris Bryant started in left field and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout.
