Diamondbacks 5, Rockies 2
Sunday at Salt River Fields

On the mound: Left-hander Ryan Rolison set Arizona down in order in the first, though he left the ball up in the zone. The Diamondback clobbered him in the second, scoring three runs on four hits, including two doubles. When Rolison hit Ketel Marte with one out in the third, Rolison’s day was done. … Right-hander Alex Colomé, the free-agent signee who’s competing for the closer’s job, threw a perfect eighth in his Rockies debut, striking out two.

At the plate: D-Backs veteran left-hander Madison Bumgarner blanked the Rockies until the fourth when Kris Bryant hit a sun-aided double and C.J. Cron followed up with a 425-foot, two-run homer to left-center. … The Rockies had just four hits.

Worth noting: Right-hander Ashton Goudeau, in the mix to be a long reliever or emergency starter, pitched three innings and gave up a two-run homer to Christian Walker in the sixth.

Rockies 4, Reds 4
Sunday at Goodyear Ballpark

On the mound: Lefty Kyle Freeland, working on a new changeup, struggled with his command, giving up four runs on six hits over 2 2/3 innings. He also hit two consecutive batters in the second to force in a run. … Lefty Lucas Gilbreath, pushing for a roster spot, allowed one run and struck out two in a scoreless sixth inning.

At the plate: Shortstop Ezequiel Tovar may have been sent down to minor-league camp but he continues to rake in Cactus League games. He was 2-for-3, with a double and also stole a base. He’s hitting .550. … Connor Joe, playing left and right field, went 2-for-3 and increased his average to .526. … Catching prospect Brian tied up the game with a solo homer in the ninth.
