April used to be Denver’s second snowiest month, and while it has fallen to fifth in recent years, a few flakes can still fly during the fourth month of the year, and that’s what should happen over the upcoming nights.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will be 57 degrees under mostly cloudy skies on Friday. Winds could gust over 15 mph while light snow showers fall in the mountains. Some showers could make their way onto the plains, but any weather should wrap up by Friday afternoon. The cooler weather helps reduce fire conditions. Overnight, Denver will drop to 34 degrees.
Expect light snow showers to continue in the mountains this morning with a few rain showers spreading onto the plains. Showers diminish in the afternoon. Northerly winds will gust between 30-40 mph over the eastern plains.

Denver will enjoy a lovely Saturday, with a high of 66 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Winds could gust to 18 mph in the afternoon. The low will dip to 40 degrees.
A series of systems will impact Denver beginning on Sunday and into midweek next week. There’s a 20% chance of precipitation starting in the morning on a 58-degree day under partly sunny skies. Rain and snow could fall in the morning and again in the evening.
There’s a chance of rain and snow overnight each day early next week, and forecasters are saying they expect a strong wind event on Tuesday and Wednesday.
