Aurora Fire Rescue responded to 10 fires in the area of Iliff Avenue and Peoria Street overnight, with two crews putting out blazes in dumpsters, fields and buildings.

A two-story multifamily building in the area of South Racine Way and South Quentin Way was burned in the flames, Aurora Fire Rescue said. The building’s fire displaced 10 people and multiple pets. The American Red Cross is responding to help those who were displaced.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of starting the 10 fires, an Aurora Police Department spokeswoman said. Police said the teen will be charged with first-degree arson, though the fires are still under investigation.

Another crew responded to fires in the area of East Pacific Circle and South Revere Street.

By 2 a.m., the fires were put out and crews were cleaning up the scene.

No injuries were reported.
