
Forecasters did not predict Denver would get so cold early this morning, but a record low of 10 degrees was recorded at Denver International Airport, breaking a 2-year-old record that stood at 15 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will climb from its frigid start to a high of 44 degrees under mostly sunny skies on Wednesday. Winds could gust to 36 mph. The low will again fall below freezing, this time to 24 degrees. Snow will continue in the mountains while fire danger remains high on the plains.
Denver will warm to a sunny 58 degrees on Thursday. But once again, strong winds, gusting to 31 mph, will be present. Temperatures will fall to 33 degrees overnight as winds finally soften later in the day.
The forecast calls for a mostly sunny high of 66 degrees on Friday..
