A suspect in a Denver shooting death has been arrested in Tennessee.
Le’Velle De’Sean Brownlow, 28, was arrested in Nashville as a suspect in the March 9 shooting death of Kolade Arije in the 5200 block of Yampa Street, police said Friday in a news release.
Brownlow is being held on investigation of first-degree murder, police said.
Brownlow and Arije allegedly argued inside an apartment before the shooting, according to an arrest affidavit. Witnesses to the argument, who heard gunshots from the apartment after they left the residence, knew Brownlow as “Vell.”
After the shooting, Brownlow was seen walking east along the south side of The Haven Apartments toward Tower Road.
Police investigators found firearms, large amounts of marijuana, suspected crack cocaine, cash and cellphones in the apartment as part of the investigation, according to the affidavit. Investigators used cellphone data and records to trace Brownlow to Tennessee.
