Boulder County investigators believe last week was human caused, but do not have an exact ignition source.

The fire was reported Tuesday afternoon in the area of Flagstaff Road and Bison Drive. It burned less than an acre and did not threaten any structures.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said investigators believe the fire was started by human activity, but have not found an exact cause yet.

The fire on Bear Peak was one of several that broke out Tuesday and throughout last week, as high winds and dry weather led to hazardous fire conditions in Boulder County.
