Denver weather: Storms expected Wednesday before sunny, warm days ahead

Patchy fog and showers in the morning are expected to be followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

Rain and thunderstorms are likely to continue to hit Denver on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

Patchy fog and showers in the morning are expected to be followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. The high is expected to reach 50 degrees under cloudy skies, with winds reaching 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 17 mph, the weather service said.

The mountains and foothills are expected to get light snow Wednesday.

Rain and storms are likely to continue through Wednesday night, with partly sunny weather reaching a high of 56 degrees.

Thursday is expected to bring a chance of showers in the morning before becoming a sunny day jumping up to 70 degrees. Breezy conditions are forecast to bring winds reaching 5 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 23 mph.

Sunny, warm weather is also expected on Friday and Saturday, with highs of 81 and 84 degrees.
