More rain could come to the Denver area Monday, with storms possible in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

The weather is forecast to reach a high of 62 degrees with winds reaching 5 to 11 mph, gusting as high as 17 mph. The chance of rain is 30%, the weather service said.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to 40 degrees with rain and thunderstorms possible.

Rainy weather is forecast to continue through Tuesday, with a high of 60 degrees, and Tuesday night, dropping down to 39 degrees.

The rest of the week is expected to see the return of sunny skies after a week of rain, snow and storms, with Wednesday reaching a high of 70 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to continue rising on Thursday and Friday, with highs of 83 and 87 degrees.
