The Colorado Department of Transportation reported that Interstate 70 westbound at the Eisenhower Tunnel is closed Tuesday morning due to safety concerns.
The closure is in effect between Loveland Pass and Silverthorne. Eastbound lanes of I-70 in Silverthorne are also closed due to safety concerns.
The area currently has snow showers and was hit hard with snow accumulation during the late-season snowstorms during the past weekend.
