Denver weather: Sunny and hot on Wednesday with a slight chance of afternoon rain

A high of 94 is expected in the Denver metro area on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday’s forecast looks sunny and mostly clear throughout the day and into the night, where temperatures will likely drop to a low of around 63.

It still appears as though a chance of thunderstorms and showers remain, with a 20% chance for both between noon and midnight.

Later in the week, the chance for storms will heighten, with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms on both Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 86 degrees, with wind gusts as high as 20 mph.

The National Weather Service says that precipitation is likely through the weekend.

As of now, temperatures for the rest of the week, other than Wednesday, are set to stay in the 80s.
