Suspect arrested in connection to fatal shooting in Aurora parking lot

A suspect in a fatal shooting in Aurora has been arrested, police said.

The shooting happened at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday in a business parking lot at 15064 E. Mississippi Ave., according to police. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died.

At about 6 p.m. Wednesday Eric Lenzy Morris, 43, was taken into custody without incident, police said. He is being held on investigation of first-degree murder.

The victim in the case has been identified as 41-year-old Aaron Jermaine Harmon, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office. Harmon died of gunshot wounds and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
