One person has died from injuries sustained in a car crash on West 6th Avenue at the entrance ramp to Interstate 25 Tuesday morning, according to tweets from the Denver Police Department.
At 3:45 a.m., Denver police tweeted that they were investigating a crash involving a “involving a motorist that lost control of his vehicle” at the entrance ramp to the highway. There were “serious injuries” that resulted from the crash, including one person who was declared dead at the scene.
The entrance ramp from eastbound 6th Avenue to southbound I-25 closed for several hours forcing morning commuters to seek an alternate route. The ramp has since been reopened.
UPDATE: One of the occupants was declared deceased on scene.
