Two people died and several were injured Wednesday in a multivehicle crash in Douglas County.
Crowfoot Valley Rd continues to be closed for the investigation of a serious accident. Two fatalities have been confirmed and several other people were transported to local hospitals.

The crash happened on Crowfoot Valley Road near Macanta Boulevard in the Sapphire Point area, the sheriff’s office said in a 6:05 p.m. tweet. The sheriff’s office announced the deaths on Twitter at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday.
Crowfoot Valley Road remained closed in the area, east of Castle Rock, because of the crash and the emergency response. An investigation is ongoing.
