As permanent as it seems, Red Rocks Amphitheatre never stops changing.

The world-famous Morrison venue, which is owned by the city of Denver and rented out to promoters, updated its stage roof this year, adding a sloping angle and high-tech support. It also rehabbed the familiar, winding ramp on the south side that connects to nearby parking lots.

The new roof from GH Phipps, in particular, provides more protection from the weather; holds more weight for lighting and equipment (150,000 pounds!); and provides a safer structure for riggers, according to publicist Paul Suter.

Most recognizable, however, is the ever-lengthening concert season, driven by Denver-based AEG Presents Rocky Mountains, which books the overwhelming majority of concerts there (with incentives from the city, it should be noted). It’s gone from a smattering of October and November shows to a full slate, and it’s possible even more will be announced.

So what do we have coming up for the rest of the year — now that summer is wrapping up — and just how late does it go?

Here’s a quick roundup of tail-end 2022 concerts and headlining events. Panchos and winter coats are recommended along with your glow sticks, concert T’s, and impassioned singalongs.
