Denver police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal car crash early Sunday morning.
Jose Francisco Gonzalez-Rodriguez was arrested on investigation of first-degree murder after he allegedly struck a pedestrian with his car in a parking lot near Federal Boulevard and West Eighth Avenue, police said.
A police spokesperson, in an email, said it “appears that it was an intentional act.”
The victim, who was not identified, was transported to the hospital Sunday morning after the crash and later died.
UPDATE: The pedestrian in this incident was pronounced deceased and this is now being investigated as a homicide. An adult male suspect has been taken into custody. Jose Francisco Gonzalez-Rodriguez (DOB 4/4/01) is being held for investigation of 1st Degree Murder.
