Boulder police arrested a suspect in connection with stolen high-end artwork valued at more than $400,000.

Brandon Camacho-Levine, 31, was arrested on investigation of 15 charges, including theft, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and drug distribution, police said in a Monday evening.

Police also discovered a cache of other stolen items, including 2,000 fentanyl pills, 23 grams of methamphetamine, handguns and electronics.

The art theft occurred overnight on Dec. 14 outside a hotel in the 5300 block of South Boulder Road, police previously said.

Authorities allege Camacho-Levine broke into a truck, which was transporting artwork across the country. Among the five pieces were two Taos Pueblo paintings, one by Joseph Henry Sharp and the other by Eanger Irving Couse.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Detective R. Montano-Banda at 303-441-1906 and reference case 22-12364.
