A woman was shot dead in Northglenn and police have a suspect in custody.

About 6:55 p.m. Monday officers responded to the 10700 block of Huron Street on a report of a shooting, the said in a 1:58 p.m. tweet Tuesday.
Responding officers contacted two witnesses and the victim was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
A man, who was not named Tuesday, was arrested as a suspect in the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.
