NWS forecasters, in a tweet, said the Front Range, plains and mountains can expect widespread showers and thunderstorms through the weekend. "There will be lightning, small hail and gusts, but the primary hazard will be locally heavy rainfall and potential flash flooding around burn areas or any poor drainage," they wrote.
