Grand County’s Devil’s Thumb fire now 76% contained, smoke expected through fall

The fire was started by an Independence Day lightning strike and has grown to 81 acres

The Devil's Thumb fire, which has been burning on land northeast of Fraser in Grand County since July 4, reached 76% containment Thursday, officials said.
