Larimer County deputies found a missing 14-year-old girl, who is safe, and arrested the 39-year-old woman she was with.
The girl, who was last seen Aug. 17, was found Monday about 6 p.m., roughly five hours after the Colorado Bureau of Investigations posted an Endangered Missing Alert, according to a social media post by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.
The message noted the 39-year-old woman she was with was taken into custody.
A from the sheriff’s department noted the woman had been ordered by a Weld County court to relinquish custody of the girl, but the woman had refused and did not appear in court as scheduled on Aug. 25.
