The crash involved two motorists and four people have been transported to the hospital.

The at-fault vehicle ran a red light at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard while headed eastbound and struck a northbound vehicle turning west from Colorado Boulevard, according to police. The driver and two passengers of the at-fault vehicle have been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The other driver has been transported with serious injuries.

The driver of the at-fault vehicle is under investigation for driving under the influence.

Officials advise motorists to consider alternate routes.
