Man shot to death in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, police investigating as homicide

The shooting happened near the intersection of West 8th Avenue and Kalamath Street

A man was shot to death Friday night in a suspected homicide in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, police said.

Just after 9 p.m. Friday, the Denver Police Department that officers were investigating a shooting near the intersection of West 8th Avenue and Kalamath Street.

The intersection lies a half-mile west of Denver Health and one mile south of the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Two hours later, the victim — an unidentified adult man — died from his injuries at the hospital and Denver detectives began investigating the shooting as a homicide, .

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will identify the man at a later date.
