Throughout last week’s Denver Post, there were several instances of ā€œTrump lied in the debate, but Harris didn’t.ā€ This is simply not the case.

That she grew up a ā€œmiddle-class kid.ā€ Not true. Harris’s father was a professor at Stanford University, while her mother, who raised Kamala after the parents divorced, was a biomedical scientist at UC Berkeley.

That the 2017 tax cuts approved by the Trump administration disproportionately benefited America’s billionaires and corporations. Not true. An has shown that ā€œon average, all income brackets benefited substantially.ā€

Trump will implement a ā€œsales tax.ā€ Not true. Trump has not pledged to do that .

The Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol was the ā€œworst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.ā€ Not true. Jan. 6 did not expose Americans to risks like those experienced during World War I, the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor, World War II, etc.

If elected, Trump will implement Project 2025. Trump has repeatedly said he has nothing to do with Project 2025.

Several states have ā€œTrump abortion bans.ā€ Not true. Every pro-life policy on the books includes exceptions for abortion when it is deemed necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.

Trump will sign a national abortion ban. Not true. Trump has said multiple times that he would not sign federal legislation curbing abortion, although he also has an abortion ban.

Trump ā€œwould essentially be immune from any misconduct if he were to enter the White House again.ā€ Not true. The court said, ā€œ[t]here is no immunity for unofficial acts.ā€

Harris claimed she made herself ā€œvery clear in 2020.ā€ ā€œI will not ban fracking,ā€ she said.Ā But, in 2020, she said, ā€œThere is no question I’m in favor of banning fracking.ā€

Harris deniedĀ that she undertook efforts toĀ bail outĀ left-wing rioters following the 2020 death of George Floyd. Not true. Harris encouraged her social media followers toĀ donate to a bail fundĀ dedicated to those arrested for their months-long,Ā $2 billionĀ siege of cities like Minneapolis.

HarrisĀ claimedĀ that ā€œsomeā€ police officers died as a result of the demonstrations at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Not true. One died of natural causes.

Trump praised white supremacists marching in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017 when he said there were ā€œfine people on both sides.ā€ This is false. Trump referredĀ  on allowing historic monuments to remain standing.

ā€œThere is not one member of the US military who is on active duty in a combat zoneā€¦ā€ Not true. We have troops in Syria and Iraq who are routinely attacked by Iran-backed militias.

Harris claimed that she doesn’t support mandatory gun confiscation. That is false. She hasĀ openly expressed supportĀ for such a policy.

She said she doesn’t support defunding the police, but her past support was quickly confirmed.

There are other instances of Harris’s debate ā€œliesā€ if you allow me the space in your paper to present them.
