A man found dead in a grass fire in south Thornton on Sunday night likely died as the result of an accident, police officials said Tuesday.

The man has not been identified, but coroner’s officials believe his death was likely accidental, the police department said in a news release Tuesday.
The will release the man’s name, as well as the cause and manner of death. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Thornton Fire Department.
