A man was killed in a single-vehicle in downtown Denver early Monday, according to police.
Denver officers responded to the crash on I-25 near 20th Street about 1:45 a.m., police said in an email.

The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, He was identified Thursday as Fredrico Maestas, 40, by the medical examiner’s office.
Northbound I-25 was closed until about 5:30 a.m. because of the crash, and the cause of the crash is under investigation, according to police.
