Aurora officers are investigating after two men were stabbed to death Sunday morning along Colfax Avenue, according to the police department.
Investigators are working to determine if the two stabbings, which happened less than half a mile apart, are connected, police said.
Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man lying on a sidewalk in the 1500 block of Moline Street at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, had multiple stab wounds and died from his injuries at the scene, police said in the release.
A second unidentified man was found stabbed to death less than half a mile away just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. That stabbing happened near an Aurora bus stop at the intersection of Peoria Street and East Colfax Avenue.
As of Sunday morning, no suspects had been identified or arrested in either stabbing.
