Pedestrian killed in Denver crash near Coors Field

The crash happened near Lawrence and 20th streets on Tuesday afternoon

A pedestrian died Tuesday in a Denver crash near Coors Field, police said.

Denver officers responded to the crash near Lawrence and 20th streets at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, an unidentified spokesperson for the Denver Police Department said in an email to The Denver Post.

The pedestrian, who was riding an electric scooter at the time of the crash, died at the scene, .

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will identify the victim at a later date.

Police declined to answer questions about whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash, if charges are being investigated and if speed or alcohol were believed to be factors. They also declined to release identifying information about the victim, including their age and gender.

As of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made or citations had been issued, police said.
