Cyclist struck in west Denver by hit-and-run driver dies from injuries

No suspect has been identified in the collision

A cyclist who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Denver over the weekend has died, police said late Sunday night.

The cyclist was hit in the area of West 14th Avenue and Yates Street, Denver police shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday. The cyclist, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police on Sunday evening . Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision that took place just a few blocks from the Lakewood city line.

No suspect has been identified.
