Denver pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in Harvey Park

A pedestrian died Tuesday night in a neighborhood, police said.

The crash happened at South Irving Street and West Evans Avenue at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, .

An unknown motorist driving south on Irving hit the pedestrian, identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner as Charlie Aragon, 41.

Aragon was crossing Irving at the time of the crash and died from blunt force injuries injuries at the scene, police said.

His manner of death was an accident, according to the .

Police did not say whether Aragon had the right-of-way or was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

Police were searching Wednesday for a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck made between 2009 and 2018, according to the department. The truck may have minor to moderate damage on the front driver’s side.

At that time, no arrests had been made.
