Pedestrian dies in southwest Denver hit-and-run on Federal Boulevard

The fatal crash happened Wednesday night near West Arizona Avenue and Federal Boulevard, police said

A pedestrian was killed late New Year’s Eve in a southwest Denver crash on Federal Boulevard, police said.

The first posted at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday about the hit-and-run near West Arizona Avenue and Federal Boulevard, on the edge of the city’s Mar Lee and Ruby Hill neighborhoods.

Paramedics took the pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, where the pedestrian later died, .

The victim will be identified by the medical examiner’s office.

Additional information about the crash — including whether police have identified or found the driver, the type of car involved, whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk and whether speed or alcohol are suspected to be involved — was not immediately available Thursday.
