Silver sedan fled fatal New Year’s Eve hit-and-run, Denver police say

Denver police are looking for information about the driver and vehicle that fled the scene after fatally hitting a pedestrian on South Federal Boulevard on New Year’s Eve.

The crash happened at 11:05 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Federal, between the city’s Mar Lee and Ruby Hill neighborhoods, according to the Denver Police Department.

A pedestrian was crossing the street when a gray or silver sedan driving southbound struck them and then fled the scene.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital and later died, Denver police said.

The suspect vehicle may have minor or moderate damage to the front passenger side. Anyone with information about the crash can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
