Some climbing areas in Boulder County national forest land along Boulder Canyon Drive will be closed into the summer to protect nesting raptors.
Between Feb. 1 and Aug. 1, people will not be allowed in parts of forest land in the Boulder Ranger District, including areas around the 34-mile mark of Boulder Canyon Drive, according to a . Among the rocks and formations closed until August are the areas of Eagle Rock, Blob Rock and Bitty Buttress, which are about 1.5 miles east of Boulder Falls, according to the release.
