
A person who was in their Jeep when a semitrailer crushed the vehicle against a gas station in Littleton is in serious but stable condition, according to officials.
The person was immediately transferred to the hospital with emergent injuries but is expected to survive, said Sheera Poelman, spokeswoman for the Littleton Police Department.
“We were all shocked that that individual survived,” she said Tuesday.

The driver of the CDS Transport semitrailer said his brakes failed while he was driving south on Santa Fe Drive. After exiting onto Belleview Avenue, he crossed a median and crashed into the Quick Trip at 2338 W. Belleview Ave. in Littleton.
The driver of the semitrailer was treated for minor conditions and declined to be taken to a hospital.
South Metro Fire Rescue crews first responded to the gas station crash just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, . As of 2:05 p.m., technical rescue teams from South Metro and were working to stabilize the building, .
