Sandoitchi, a Texas-based culinary project that helped to popularize fluffy, Japanese-style milk bread sandwiches in the United States over the past few years, is planning to stick around in Denver through August.

The company, founded by chef Stevie Nguyen, first popped up here in 2022, selling the aesthetically pleasing, Instagram-friendly sandwiches, known as sandos, out of the Zeppelin Station. The sandwiches are based on the high-quality ones that are sold in Japanese convenience stores, including 7-Eleven, usually featuring egg salad, chicken katsu or fruits with cream.

The pop-up has returned a few times over the years and often sells out. It is now located in the RiNo ArtPark, 1950 35th St., where it will operate Tuesdays through Sundays (closed Mondays) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 30.

Sandoitchi’s current menu includes both hot and cold sandwiches, such as the Spicy Truffle Chicken Katsu Sando and the Strawberry Cream Sando, according to information provided by the company. Sides include Shio Kunbu Cabbage and Smacked Cucumber Salad. Sandoitchi also sells flavored matcha lattes, lassis, and Japanese sodas.

“We are thrilled to continue our residency with RiNo ArtPark and deepen our connection with the Denver community,” said Sandoitchi operations manager Keith Tran in a statement. “Denver has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting and innovative food cities in the country, and we’re honored to play a small role in contributing to that energy and creativity.”

Japanese-style sandos have become much easier to find in Denver over the past three years as several cafes and restaurants now offer them regularly, including Eloise, which opened on Tennyson Street in late 2025.
