A driver who collided with a stalled vehicle on Interstate 25 on Thursday night has died of their injuries, according to an update Friday evening from the Denver Police Department.

A driver heading southbound on I-25 near 6th Avenue hit a stalled vehicle. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the stalled vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital, .

The identified the driver as Robert Pena, 56, and ruled his death an accident from multiple blunt force injuries.
