Abundant office space, available technology workers and easy access to flights have lured the headquarters of a growing software company to Greenwood Village.

Fast Enterprises LLC plans to bring between 50 to 100 positions, a mix of new hires and relocations, to the metro area, said James Harrison, a partner in the private company.

The company has already hired about 15 people locally and expects to relocate about 25 workers, assuming they accept offers to transfer.

“The vision is to move most of the corporate functions there,’ Harrison said.

Fast Enterprises maintains offices in Boise, Idaho; Helena, Mont.; Baton Rouge, La.; and Victoria, British Columbia.

The firm’s president, Martin Rankin, is splitting his time between Baton Rouge and Colorado, where he plans to move.

Fast Enterprises makes GenTax software, a program that helps state and local governments collect, track and audit tax revenues.

The company is looking primarily for computer programmers who can also work as consultants, Harrison said.

It is close to signing a lease for 22,000 square feet at Plaza Tower One in Greenwood Village, Harrison said.

The metro area beat out Connecticut, Boston, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., he said.

The Metro Denver Economic Development Corp., under the direction of Tom Clark, helped recruit the company.
