The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce on Monday announced finalists for the 23rd annual Business Awards.

The awards will be presented at a luncheon May 4 at the Colorado Convention Center, during the chamber’s one-day Colorado Business Conference and Tradeshow.

The awards honor companies in the small-business, emerging-business, minority-owned and nonprofit-organization categories. The David E. Bailey Small Business Advocate of the Year award also will be given out.

Small-business finalists include Mancinelli’s Auto Repair Center; Multi-Link, a small-business telecom and computing services firm; and the Comedy Works nightclub.

Finalists in the emerging- business category include Echo Concepts Inc., a specialist in document imaging; and Two Hundred, a team of Web developers.

Vying for Minority-Owned Business of the Year are DRG Construction Corp.; Samuel Engineering Inc., an architectural and engineering company; and The Wellness Center, a health-care center offering acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy and naturopathic medicine.

Finalists for Nonprofit Organization of the Year are YouthBiz, a training program for teens and young adults; Goodwill Industries of Denver, a provider training at-risk youth, disadvantaged adults and disabled individuals; and Hope Communities, which builds diverse, healthy communities.
