He started spitting that rhyme out of nowhere,” the song’s producer Just Blaze said. “So it just sat there forever and then he spit it that one day on the radio. Then he was like, ‘I want to do it as a song, but I have nowhere to put it.”‘
Memphis Bleek performed an intro to a Jay-Z CD in 1998. Now Jay-Z will return the favor, letting “Dear Summer” serve as the intro to Bleek’s upcoming “534” LP.

According the Sun in London, Crowe has offered advice about dealing with the media: “If you’ve never been unfairly tried by the media, your personality diminished, your intellect rubbished and your artistic achievements torn apart, then you just don’t know what it’s like.”
