An unidentified man died late Tuesday night in Denver after being shot by Aurora police, a Denver police spokesman said.
An unconfirmed report indicated that shots were fired at police during an attempted traffic stop.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said a vehicle carrying the man who was shot drove into Denver from Aurora, and the man died.
The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m., and police cordoned off a neighborhood just north of Lowry near the Denver-Aurora boundary.
Police radio traffic indicated that one person ran from the scene.
